Another "gun free" school zone gets effed up

While I'm sure Brady will shore this up as another failure of our weak gun control laws, may I remind you that Illinois has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, is #9 out of 50 on Brady's kiss-ass list, and has no law "forcing" (their words, not mine) colleges to allow the free exercise of the right to keep and bear arms.

Northern Illinois University takes full advantage of its ability to render its students and faculty defenseless.

Possession and use of weapons are strictly prohibited on the NIU campus.

Apparently, one gunman didn't get the memo.

A man dressed in black opened fire with a shotgun from a stage of a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University on Thursday, injuring as many as 18 people, four critically, before he killed himself, the school's president said.

University President John Peters said witnesses "say someone dressed in black came out from behind a screen in front of the classroom and opened fire with a shotgun."

I'm sure Helmke, Brady and crew are extraordinarily proud that the policies they advocate have disarmed all those innocent victims. After all, God and Goddess forbid someone should get hurt!

And if you think I'm being snide, I am. These jerks never learn. They continue pushing laws and regulations which will only be obeyed by the law-abiding, leaving them vulnerable to those who couldn't give a rat's ass. Mark my words. These tragedies will continue happening until someone learns their damn lesson!
